Ching Ya of Social @ Blogging Tracker in a Famous Bloggers Club interview
Iam all the time remembering when Ching Ya stumbled the interview post of Kristi and delivered lots of traffic that day to FBC blog, that was wonderful. Interview of today is with Ching Ya the founder of Social @ Blogging Tracker, Ching Ya is a social media addict & enthusiastic blogger that you will like to connect with!
Q. Tell the world something about your self and what you do in life?
Ching Ya: First of all, thank you Hesham for your invitation. It’s an honor to be enlisted here.
I am a simple lady with an ambitious mind. Having working in a conservative local IT business for several years, I’ve finally decided to quit my day job in June and go full time in freelancing – web designing and writing (inclusive of seo description writing). It was not an easy decision to make and not many around me who trust online entrepreneurship. However, I know this is what I need to – go for what I believe in and realize my dream to work home-based. Besides that, I still do occasional consultation and graphic designing for a local IT company.
Q. What was the story behind your Blog? (how you start Blogging – since when – how did you named your Blog).
Ching Ya: I started blogging since early August, 2008 where my blog was initially a personal site –family fun, thoughts, movies.. anything I find interested in writing. Only after I joined Authority Blogger Forum that I realized there is a need to go serious with my blogging. It has becoming more than just a mere interest! I actually believe I could go somewhere with this! So after encouraged by trusted forum members, I finally decided to make a niche-switch on 14th March 2009 by producing my first piece of social media related post, a Twitter clickable chart that caused me sleepless nights of research and trials but a welcoming result.
As for the name, I picked Social @ Blogging Tracker, as it’s a social media related site, while blogging being the major issue so I hope to emphasis on that.
Q. Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)
Ching Ya: Good question! Ha.. I sure hope so. Well, from what I’ve earned so far from Google Adsense, that’s is no where near to support my hosting fee! I haven’t really go mainstream in online money-making just yet but I don’t mind to try that in near future.
For now, most of my income is from freelance work: paid post and web logo/banner designs. However, my blog has becoming an important portal between me and my clients, besides serving as my work portfolio.
Also, by exploring the topic I’m interested, I hope to discover new ideas, be informative and unique in my presentations. My goal is to learn while helping others and myself along the process, hopefully a healthy relationship could be developed for mutual benefits.
Q. Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)
Ching Ya: I would have to say is the ‘16 Misconceptions About Serious Blogging’.
Not only because of the amount of comments, but the feedback, discussions involved and the experiences shared by the commentators. I enjoyed the responsiveness and everyone is having a good time evaluating own experience as well. Not to mention, that was when I spent most time on self-made illustrations in a post. I guess it deserves a little mention. LOL.
Q. If I asked you to suggest ONE Blogger friend to send him/her a Famous Blogger Club invitation, who you will suggest?
Ching Ya: I have several of them in mind, but since I can only pick one, then Frank from Techjaws it is! Frank’s site is always informative with the recent updates of internet security and applications. Frank is an active social media participant while responsive to people’s requests. I think he deserves a spot in the club.
