Our coming Contest at Famous Bloggers Club – What should it be about?
We all remember the Best WordPress Design contest of 2009 that established by Keller Hawthorne, and how she did it and managed to get premium and famous sponsors to bring the pleasure of winning magnificent prizes for the winners, and it was all about Web Design. Today I was thinking about this contest trying to imagine the new coming contest of Famous Bloggers Club and how it should be about, and what kind of prizes we could give to the winners.
Even though the designs of dominated blogs was great, but some of it has a poor design, and it was not that good enough, but people has different tastes, and this is why it’s not bad to accept participants and this will do promotion for both sides, the participant and the organizer of the contest.
The last time we made a great contest all together and we could give the winners prizes worth more than $350 dollars, So.. I am wondering about our coming contest, is it going to be a regular contest with random results?! Or is it going to be a Voting for the best Web Design contest?!
I am really not sure yet about it, so I am writing this post to think together, maybe we can do something different this time, maybe something related to Making Money Online or even Website Development!
I need ideas!
Now! We reached the interesting part, the part of discussion, PLZ.. Add your suggestions and ideas in the comment area, give me your best shot as we want to develop a brilliant idea for our coming contest, and I know that I cannot do it without the help of the Famous Bloggers Club members.

I personally like contests with random winners then everybody has a fair chance, but you could do both and have the really good ones get voted on and then pick 1 or 2 random winners.

I think that you should do a voting system. Set up some application on your blog where people can check off which one they like the best. I think that will be fun for everyone even people who are not participating.

Have a widget building contest. All [functional] submissions go into an online directory, where your readers can grab them for free and then vote on which one they like best. Widgets could include anything: top commenters, Twitter apps, etc (just like other people here said) – only they MUST be homemade (no grabbing off the internet and re-publishing it as your own). At the end of the contest, you’ll have a great resource of potentially hundreds of free widgets!

Contests with voting are definitely a lot of work, so you may want to try out the random kind this time. Perhaps using one of those Twitter contest apps? Since you just had one, it might be nice for you to do this one on auto-pilot and take a rest.

Keller’s contest was a great idea and very well run, but your post here highlights the problem of having a contest with a subjective title without any real quality control. I think the only truly fair way to run any such “Best” contest is to somehow only allow votes from the participants themselves. Really this is what Brian does continuously at BlogEngage and personally I think it works brilliantly – or should I say “Briantly”
Ok, sorry not to have a fabulous suggestion for you, it’ll be interesting to see what others come up with – and whatever you decide to run I’m sure it’ll be beneficial to everyone. The great thing about these contests is that they create a co-operative community within a competitive environment.

Thank you for the comment @Will, I even missed with the title some how, tried to fix it now. I really hope to get some good suggestions!
I am really tired these day and can not concentrate well, I have to tell that my new house need some hard work, no furniture yet only a glass table for my laptop, a few chairs and an air bed
I really hope to finish this week with all the needed work at the house, maybe I will post about it latter and add some photos to share!
