Interview with Kristi Hines founder of Kikolani – Famous Bloggers Club
I had this nice interview with Kristi Hines from Kikolani.com, Kikolani is about the art of Blogging - the technical aspects with Blogging and social networking tips, the beauty with photography and poetry, and the benefits for writers and readers.
Q. Tell the world something about your self and what you do in life? (add Twitter and Facebook profile link if available)
Kristi: I am an artistic geek girl turned freelance web design / WordPress customizations. Outside of work, I love photography, tennis, and ballroom dancing. You can find me on Twitter @kikolani and Facebook. Check also Kristi Hines Portfolio.
Q. What was the story behind your Blog? (how you start Blogging – since when – how did you named your Blog).
Kristi: The name Kikolani is a combination of my middle name (Leilani) and my grandmother’s first name (Akiko). It started as a platform to share my Blogging and photography, and grew into sharing more technical information, such as Blogging tips and social media how to’s.
Q. Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)
Kristi: I haven’t earned significant money directly from blog, but what I have earned is money from all of the skills I have picked up as a result of running a blog. Now I have experience with WordPress customization, link building, website optimization and social media marketing which I can offer as freelance services to small businesses. So indirectly, I have been able to make money as a Blogger. But aside from the income, I simply enjoy writing and sharing information with others.
Q. Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)
Kristi: I consider my Fetching Friday posts to be most famous on my site, simply because I have had numerous readers specifically comment that they love reading those posts every Friday. I feel like they always include resources that will benefit any reader who stumbles upon the site.
