Interview with Layla founder of Coupon Journey – Famous Bloggers Club
I had this interview with Layla the founder of Coupon Journey, She is new to the Blogging world but she is doing great job on provide the best deals and steals using coupon, I want to tell Layla that if her blog is not famous now then I think it will be famous after we end with the 100 members of FBC Famous Bloggers Club!
Q. Tell the world something about your self and what you do in life?
Layla: I am a newbie Blogger, and currently completing a Masters degree online. I can be found on Twitter: @couponjourney, or Facebook: Coupon Journey. I am a 30 year old married woman with no kids trying to survive the blog sphere and provide the best deals and steals using coupons!
Q. What was the story behind your Blog? (how you start Blogging – since when
– how did you named your Blog).
Layla: I started Blogging in April 2009. I started because I was layed off from a job, and still unemployed as of July 2009, and it was a great stress relief. I had to start using coupons to save money, and didn’t realize I could buy items for free, and wanted to share that with other people. I know others do not have time to clip coupons, but most of what I post, you just need a printer to print the coupons! I called it Coupon Journey, because literally, it is a journey to find the best deals around. I chronicle my savings on my site, under the My Journeys tab, in an effort to motivate others to do the same.
Q. Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)
Layla: I have added some links to my site, but do not make a lot of money from them.They are there are resources for the coupons that I post or free samples Some of the links include those to www.cj.com, mysavings.com, escalatenetwork.com. As I stated previously, I blog primarily for therapeutic reasons. It helps me share my finds and deals so that others can save money. I want to make sure that no one ever pays any money for toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, shavers, or gel, as I have not paid any money for those necessities since April 2009. Key word, necessity, so there is no reason to pay any money for that!
Q.Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)
Layla: One of my famous posts was featured on 2 different websites/blogs. The link to the post is here: Thank your manufacturer.
I am especially proud of this post, because it shows that you can thank the companies that make the products you love. I received private messages on the posting, as well as being featured on 2 different blogs/websites as full articles.
Q. If I asked you to suggest ONE Blogger friend to send him/her a Famous Blogger Club invitation, who you will suggest?
Hands down, Ann over at Coupons Deals and More couponsdealsandmore.com. She has a massive following, and has been in the coupon industry for years. She posts some really great blog posts about how to save money.

Trust is a hard thing to do when you have complex post traumatic stress disorder. I have it to. What I do is I just tell the person I’m trying to build trust with that I have PTSD and I don’t trust very well. They should respect your wish and help you to start trusting them. I had one person say that to me and I said ask me any question you want and I will answer honestly. I don’t think books do alot for you. I think if you get out there and face your fears it will become easier and easier.
