Interview with Mr. Javo – Famous Bloggers Club

His name is Javier but everybody calls him Javo, and Bloggers know him as Mr. Javo, he is the founder of Mr. Javo dot Com Blog that contains a very useful marketing information and good blogging resources. So.. You are really going to enjoy this interview with him.

Q.Tell the world something about your self and what you do in life?

Hey Hesham, first of all thanks for interviewing me. My name is Javier Mendonca, I’m 21 from Venezuela and I’m studying Telecommunication’s Engineering.

Normally I do freelance jobs, I design and create robots and electronic systems to solve or make easier certain human tasks.

Also, I do well in web design and Blogging. My latest jobs have been flipping entire websites, such as www.bigghealth.com.

I invite you to stop by my blog, I write about Blogging and internet marketing tips, offering a free ebook just for signing up for my newsletter.

Also you can reach me at Twitter @mrjavo and Facebook respectively.

Q.What was the story behind your Blog? (how you start Blogging – since when – how did you named your Blog).

Well, within my life I always used to look for new ways to make money. A couple of years ago I discovered the big potential of the internet in this matter, so I started by creating a blogspot, where I wrote about programs and websites which you can make money online, doing product reviews and that kind of things.

After 3 months, I noted that I needed something else, something bigger and professional. That was when I thought in creating my own blog, with my own url. Choosing a domain name was not easy, I had many in mind but all of them were already picked. So then, I realized that it’s very important to have a short/easy-to-remember domain name, and after a couple of days I found mrjavo.com available.

I didn’t think it twice, I bought it and since January 2008 I started my new blog with my own domain name, getting all my readers from blogspot as loyal readers of mrjavo.com.

I think I’m a good example of progress. There are people who want to create a blog but they don’t know too much about the matter. If you are one of them, I recommend you to create something basic (and free) to test waters. If you are doing well with a free blogspot or wordpress and then you want to have something better, then go for your own domain and use wordpress as platform for blogging, it’s just perfect.

Q.Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)

There is a big myth behind this question. Many people think that you can create a blog and start making money auto-magically. That’s not truth, in fact you cannot make money just “blogging”.

What make you earn money are other things, like selling private advertising, private products (ebooks, reports, videos, courses etc), doing reviews about products or websites or by doing affiliate marketing.

A blog doesn’t make money by itself, it is just a channel, a tool that can help you to sell and earn money. For example, there are many bloggers who earn thousands of dollars a month just with referral commissions.

So my advice is, a blog helps you to make money, but it doesn’t makes money by itself. You need to combine a blog with the things I named before in order to have a profit.

And Yes, I do make money online :) , specially with affiliate marketing and web design.

Q.Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)

Mmmm well, now I can clearly remember Under What Name Is It Best To Leave Comments In Other Blogs?

This post got 50+ comments in hours and generates good traffic and feedback. It’s key to create polemic content, usually people leave their feedback and the interaction among the commentators becomes closer, which helps to make more friends and loyal readers.

Also there is a post that generates good traffic is What Is A Canonical URL?

In this case, is because of its search engine optimization. If you google ”canonical url” you will find my blog at the top10, which drives a decent traffic daily.

To conclude this, a famous post has valuable content, which generates traffic and comments. By getting people attraction with this kind of post, probably they will subscribe and return to your blog.

Q.If I asked you to suggest ONE Blogger friend to send him/her a Famous Blogger Club invitation, who you will suggest?

Well I have many talented friends out there. I suggest you to invite Tamal Anwar, owner of http://blogkori.com/. He’s another good Blogger who surely will have great advices for you and your readers.
