Interview with Nicolas Prudhon, PhD Internet Marketer & SEO professional – Famous Bloggers Club
Nicolas Prudhon, PhD is an Internet Marketer & SEO professional with over 10 years of practical experience, he is not only know highly successful multi-millionaires, but he have actual credential of success in the media, including a cover of business magazine; that’s real stuff, nothing virtual about it read this interview because you are going to learn from Nicolas a lot!
Q. Tell the world something about your self and what you do in life?
Nicolas: My name is Nicolas Prudhon, I’m a 31 years old self-made millionaire retired since last year. I usually stay at home with my wife when she’s not working. I spend most of my time watching movies. Interacting on my blog “SEO Help by Nicolas Prudhon” is a hobby that I enjoy very much, beside maintaining a virtual farm on Facebook.
Q. What was the story behind your Blog? (how you start Blogging – since when – how did you named your Blog).
Nicolas: I first came to Blogging about 5 years ago as it was a new very effective method to boost search engine rankings at that time (which is still true today). As for the blog I’m currently maintaining, it’s 5 months old and there wasn’t anything really serious behind my blog initially. In fact it was merely an experiment, a dummy site to show people what kind of traffic you could achieve online if you were to apply proper SEO techniques to your site. As the community there grew, I became increasingly involved with this blog, to the point that I actually became “attached” to it and the community. The reason why I decided to blog about SEO is also because I really got fed up by all the rubbish and out dated information people are selling on internet. Obviously my readers did share my views too, making my blog a prominent one in the industry within a couple of months only and currently delivers about 6,000 pages viewed daily and crossed the 500,000 pages viewed within less than half a year. There’s no fluff there, my blog name is “SEO Help by Nicolas Prudhon” and this it what it is and what people get when they come there.
Q. Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)
Nicolas: It’s a bit a trick question for me, I blog primarily to share some of my knowledge and experience with people who are genuine in their intent to improve their website online presence and performance. Monetizing my blog is not my primary intention as it’s a hobby for me, and if you go there, you’ll see that I don’t really have advertising (maybe I will later, maybe I won’t).
Now, that being said, I have made a lot of money indirectly from this blog. First through the different affiliate links I have for which I enjoy a very neat 5-6% conversion rate in average; but also and primarily from people who want to hire me for some SEO jobs.
You see, the biggest problem to sell anything online is your credibility, and through my blog, people already know for fact that I know my stuff so I don’t have to try to convince anybody about it. In fact I probably receive more enquiries to do SEO work than many SEO companies themselves. What is funny about it is that I currently don’t even have any page or link advertising the fact that I could be hired to do some work or selling some services.
My most recent enquiry comes from a Las Vegas Casino and they are not looking for some cheap services but results… trust me, we are talking about serious compensation here.
Q. Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)
Nicolas: I guess I would have to go with my guest post Understanding The New Rules Of SEO, the reason why I think that it’s my most famous post despite the fact that it’s a guest post is simply because it triggered 270 comments on it which is not something seen often for a guest post.
Q. If I asked you to suggest ONE Blogger friend to send him/her a Famous Blogger Club invitation, who you will suggest?
Nicolas: I would recommend a friend and fellow Blogger Mikael Rieck from Retire Rich Roadmap because of the quality of his posts and his genuine involvement at helping people.

I know Nicolas and if you visit his blog, you will see that I am one of his Top commenters, over and over. I have a pretty good understanding of SEO as I too preach my knowledge through my blog. Believe me when I say that I have learned more from Nicolas than many of the garbage out there that claims to teach you SEO. Great addition to the FBC

@Another Blogger, Yes, I think it’s important to share knowledge.
That being said, I’m never against a few extra bucks.

You can actually learn a lot of basic SEO when you submit your first article at ezinearticles.com. You apply for their tutorials and I guaranty that they teach you very much highly important stuff.
It’s for free. Much in life costs nothing. We just don’t see it, as so many are running around waving their “Cheap or bargain promise banners” at us.
This again shows that much can be learned for without pay online.
Nicolas Prudhon also helped without compensation.
On the other hand, design and usability has become another primary importance. That means that getting your titles, descriptions, headlines, keyword density in body content plus a few other things into the right spots is not enough.
If your email subscription form is somewhere drowned between affiliating links or whatnot, you are not a winner.
If you cannot catch the surfer’s attention at the start of a blog or web page, the surfer will leave.
I have made many mistakes, my niche was not perfect to start with.
That is even more important than SEO, I would say. There is so much to learn while you go along. It’s impossible to bring it to paper all at once. Just writing a blog is therefor also not good enough, unless you communicate something which has a high demand where you are an authority. For that the time must be right, as Nicolas told us. SEO was quite unknown when he talked about it.
And yes, there is also the other important factor which is winning the trust of your reader. And believe me there is even more than that.
