Jennifer Stinnett of Jennifer’s Review Blog on Famous Bloggers Interviews

Famous Bloggers Club has expanded the range of it’s interviews to reach almost all possible blogging niches, so we are not closed to Making Money Online niche only, but we are interviewing people who makes money from their blogs in a way or another. Today’s interview is going to be with Jennifer Stinnett of Jennifer’s Review blog, Jenn says she like shoes, wine and chocolate.. but not just any chocolate…. GOOD chocolate. She work in Real Estate and blogging about wine , so plz enjoy this interview with her.

Q. Tell the world something about yourself and what you do in life?

I see the world a little differently sometimes.  I love business, but what I love about business is how that business started, their success, growth and the interesting people who started it. To me the ability to take an idea and turn it into a successful business is fascinating!  Along with that I see life as full of characters.  I see a “character” in each person that comes into my life; from the customer at my daytime job, the person commenting on my blog to the cashier handing me my change.  Everyone plays a part in my blog stories.

You can follow my rambling thoughts on twitter @ThingsAll2Good and if you want to follow my daytime job in Relocation / Real Estate, you can find me @JennStinnett. Or just come on over and join the party at my facebook profile.

Q. What was the story behind your Blog? (how you start Blogging – since when – how did you named your Blog).

I started blogging in May of 2008.  Many moons ago I tried my hand at writing children’s books… there is a very different way to write for children.  Creativity and imagination are just a few of the things one must have when writing children’s books.  As I was starting in that direction, “life” happened and I lost my creativity and motivation; let’s call it an 11 year writer’s block!   Last May with encouragement from my friends, things opened up for me to look at writing again.  Social Media and ease that we can now express ourselves is so wonderful!  , … and I can’t forget the most important part though – I really like cheap wine.

So – putting together my love of writing, liking cheap wine and fascination with business – I came up with Jennifer’s Review; Let’s Wine About It!  I first started to write on a free blog hosted by my brother to see if I liked it.  … and like it I did!  Since then my blog has had a lot of different looks, thanks to the help of who I now hire to design my blog.  My blog is still in transition but I have some exciting things in store for 2010!

Q. Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)

My background with online fun started awhile back when I was working at a real estate company that put up a website and handed all inquiries coming from it to my department.  Needless to say – having no formal training in this area – I immersed myself in all things online; specifically what other non real estate companies were doing online for me as a consumer.  I watched how everything from the Pizza Company, online auction site, car dealers and retail companies handled my transaction with them.  I translated that into the consumer experience at my company’s website and how we handled talking to them after an inquiry and visit to our site.  I was allowed to create an e-business division within the firm and that started my love for all things internet.  I made them a lot of money back then.

My blog does not earn much – I don’t focus on it and choose not to go that route right now.  I have a few ads on my blog but I’m not taking advantage of the potential.  I’m a big fan of Seth Godin and I read his advice on his business blog every day – he keeps me thinking.   I want people to come to my blog for a fun experience, to relax a bit, see the humor in life and learn about some fantastic businesses from a different angle…… all with a glass of wine!  I believe the money part will come further down the road for me and possibly in a different format then my blog.  I track what motivates people to come over to Jennifer’s Review by my writing skills – not the purchase, lead, etc.  It’s a whole new challenge for me and I love it!

Along with those lines of not blogging for money – I’m also trying to get bloggers to unite on an idea ……. “Donating your 100th post to Charity.  We all know that getting to your 100th post is an accomplishment!  It’s my hope that bloggers will share in their accomplishment by giving a little back to a charity of their choice.  By uniting on this idea and using our every 100th (200th, 300th ) post to talk about a charity and link back to that site – we can help create an awareness for charities.  With the power of blogs we can start a great initiative and it’s an easy way to give back!  I had someone design a logo and provide that logo free to bloggers to use to help spread the word.  I have a facebook fanpage to help get this idea started as well.  I hope everyone can help and thank you Hesham for placing the logo on your My Life Thinking blog!  I so appreciate it!

Q. Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)

This is a fun story.  I met another blogger just starting with his wine blog the same time I started mine.  He and his wife are from California and he’s a REAL wine connoisseur; as I said before – I just like wine.  He made a little …… hmmm…. shall we say…. sarcastic remark?? …. and jokingly told me because of my lack of wine knowledge, I should review a popular box of wine.  So, I did!  It’s my highest hitting post to date and I am on page 1 of Google for that boxed wine review!   Ha! … it’s the post that keeps on giving!

Q. If I asked you to suggest ONE Blogger friend to send him/her a Famous Blogger Club invitation, who you will suggest?

I have to choose???  One???? Really??? That’s like asking me to choose one wine!   (smiles…)  I’d have to go with my boxed wine pusher…. Bill Eyer from Cuvee Corner – he’s the reason I have my boxed wine traffic; he and I share a love of writing and wine!  Cheers!
