Klaus of TechPatio at Famous Bloggers Club interviews
Klaus have been doing web stuff for over 10 years now, his blog TechPatio is a combination of two things that he really like: Technology, such as tech gadgets, computers, Internet etc. enjoy this interview with Klaus!
Q. Tell the world something about your self and what you do in life?
Klaus: I’m a 26 year old computer geek living in Malta, Europe, where I work full time with web development and other IT related tasks. Aside from my day job, I also spend a great deal of time blogging and reading blogs as well as trying to improving my video shooting and editing skills, so hopefully one day I can produce very cool videos for my blog.

Q. What was the story behind your Blog?
Klaus: I actually already had a blog I started back in 2005 but I stopped updating it in 2006 as I didn’t really have any goals with it and so I rarely had anything useful to blog about.
In the spring of 2009 I once again got interested in blogging as I was looking for a way to publish what I had on my mind. At first I figured I would just start out with a personal blog and put whatever out there that I wanted to share with the world, but I quickly realized that if I wanted to have a readership I should probably narrow it down to a specific topic and then I decided on “tech”, as that’s what I know most about and have a large interest in.
I had lots of great ideas for domain names but they were all taken and I’d prefer to go with a .com domain, otherwise I could have gotten some .biz domains. A blogger friend of mine suggested techpatio.com. It combines two things that I just so happen to like, tech and (to relax) on my patio.
Q. Have you earned any money from been a Blogger? (How you did it – add links to useful websites for making money online – If NOT then tell us why you blog)
Klaus: I’ve only blogged “seriously” – and with TechPatio - a little over 2 months now, but I managed to rake in over $100 so far, most of it from affiliate sales. AdSense and similar doesn’t pay out much on low-traffic blogs, so I’m hoping to be able to seriously increase my traffic over the coming months.
To earn money with blogging, I can highly recommend the “Become A Blogger” and “Blog Mastermind” programs by Yaro Starak and Gideon Shalwick, they teach you pretty much everything you need to know from day 1 and how to monetize your blog.
Q. Would you tell us about ONE of your famous posts? (Why you think it’s famous.. it could be because of “content – traffic – comments – search engines”)
Klaus: It’s actually a bit funny, my most popular posts are not the ones I put a real effort into writing, but the ones that solves an immediate problem that people are having. Like Apple recently released their Snow Leopard operating system and that caused a few incompatibilities to arise with other applications. I made a blog post about it and some possible solutions and the day after, my visits went up 500%. That just goes to show that if you can provide people with a solution to their problems, you might have struck gold…
Q. If I asked you to suggest ONE Blogger friend to send him/her a Famous Blogger Club invitation, who you will suggest?
Klaus: Too bad I can only suggest one blogger since there are so many great bloggers out there, but I’m going to suggest Justin Germino. He runs several blogs including Dragon Blogger which is the one I read the most, it’s 50% technology and 50% personal – a good combination I think.

Klause was a great pick for FBC, because although his current blog is just a couple of months old, he really know what he’s doing, and it shows. His site is packed with great tech information, and he’s a really good writer so the reading is fun.
